Dr. Aslan’s project “Numerical Modeling and Simulation of Heat-Resistant Coatings”  is awarded with National Young Researcher Career Development Grant. Wtihin the scope of the project, the group will be developing a robust numerical simulation capabilities for the thermomechanical structural design of coating systems which can predict damage, failure and the durability of such heterogeneous multi-layered systems for the desired prolonged service-life. The project will last for three years.
