TUBITAK – 1001 Research Grant

The project “Modeling and Simulation of Thermomechanical Behavior of Shape Memory Alloys” carried out by Asst. Prof. Ozgur Aslan, instructor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of our University in cooperation with National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of United States was deemed worthy of support within the scope of 1001 – Scientific and Technological Research Projects funded by TUBITAK ARDEB. The project is based on continuum mechanics and taking microstructural property of Shape Memory Alloys into consideration, developing discrete behavior models including the coupling phenomena and large deformations for space applications. The project is supported by National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the necessary material data is being supplied by NASA.
